Workshop on Baking with Honey

Synopsis

As NAFDAC wages war against bromated bread to safeguard the health of the nation, honey offers sweet alternative to both bakers and the consumers. Elsewhere, the largest single use of honey in the food industry is in baking and cooking. For instance, three out of five foodservice operators in the United States use honey on their menus. Therefore, the workshop will teach participants bakery applications with honey including practical. Participants will also get a copy of handbook titled: Baking With Honey, which explains the cutting edge of honey as a sweetener and flour enhancer. Other contents of the book include technical profile of honey, recipes for honey breads, cakes, pies e.t.c and the nutritional benefits of honey compared to refined sugar.
